Psalm 27 - LaRue Howard, William McDowell lyrics
Psalm 27
(Solo)
One thing that I’ve desired of You, and that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord forever(soloist repeat)(choir repeat 2x’s)
(Bridge)
In the courts of the Lord I find strength that I need. In that place I receive, visions and dreams. Mercy and grace, everything that I need.(repeat)
(Drive)
Protection, direction, inspiration, motivation, revelation, everything that I need.
Patience, mercy, restoration, reservation, breakthrough, everything that I need.
Blessing, favor, provision, salvation, healing, everything that I need.
Comfort, deliverance, safety, covering, shelter, everything that I need.
Peace, love, joy, strength, power, everything that I need.
Answers, guidance, wisdom, counsel, understanding, everything that I need.
(Soloist)
Just one day with you, is better than a thousand elsewhere’s. And I wanna be with you, Lord.
(Choir)
Oooh.
Ahhh Oooh, Lord.
Better is one day, there is one day, there is one day, Lord.
Better is one day, there is one day Jesus, there is one day, Lord.
Better is one day, there is one day, there is one day, Lord.
Better is one day, better than a thousand elsewhere. There is one day Lord.
Better is one day, better than a thousand elsewhere. There is one day Lord.

The song just blesses me so much. I have it on repeat in my car and every time I hear it, it's more powerful. I can truly worship to the beautiful song. God blessed Pastor McDowell with this anointed arrangement.

I love this song..i think it may be my favorite song on the album..anyway, i couldn't find the lyrics anywhere and i'm teaching my choir this, so i submitted them myself..there are a few differences in the song but only because of inflection and dynamics(like the choir is really saying "there is'a one day) and ect., but other than that, the "core" words are correct. hope this helps.
