Every Time I see A Plane

From the moment that we said “Farewell!” -

And for every single minute, now, since then -

I’ve been thinking all the while - of the time -

When I’d lie helpless in your arms again...

I count the weeks I count the days;

I count the hours that slowly drag on by -

I sometimes even count the minutes, too -

Till I will next be lying by your side.

Now every time I see a plane - it makes me think of when –

The one that took you so far from me - will bring you back again!

And I’m glad that great big airport was so crowded on that day -

And I wasn’t on my own out there - as you slowly walked away ...

Now every time I see a plane - it makes me think of when -

The one that took you so far from me will bring you back again...

And every time I see a clock - marking out its time,

I think about the time again - your body will touch mine...

Till the moment when we next say “Hello”

And for every waking moment now till then -

I’ll be thinking all the while of the time -

When I’ll lie helpless in your arms again.

And I’ll count the weeks - I’ll count the days -
