A Vision Of Jesus lyrics
WHILE KNEELING BY MY BED ONE NIGHT TO SAY A SINNER’S PRAYER
I LOOKED UP THROUGH TEAR FILLED EYES AND SAW MY SAVIOR THERE
TO ME HE SAID DON’T BE ALARMED AS HE WAS STANDING THERE
TO ME HE SAID WITH OUTSTRETCHED ARMS MY CHILD I HEAR YOUR PRAYER
YOU ASK ME HOW I KNOW CHRIST LIVES I’LL TELL YOU HOW I KNOW
I SAW THE NAIL SCARES IN HIS HANDS AND A ROBE AS WHITE AS SNOW
REPEAT #2
I’LL FOLLOW JESUS ALL THE WAY HE DIED UPON THE CROSS
I’LL FOLLOW JESUS ALL THE WAY BECAUSE HE PAID THE COST
REPEAT #2
TO ME HE SAID WITH OUTSTRETCHED ARMS MY CHILD I HEAR YOUR PRAYER

Hattie Boulware Jones was my aunt. She wrote the song, "I've Had a Vision of Jesus" October 16, 1937 after an annointed message by the late Gail W. Shultz. It was first published by Apostolic Faith Publishing Co, Baxter Springs, Kansas in 1941.
I have the words and music to the song.

Help! My Aunt's funeral is this weekend. She loved this song and I can't find the music and Lyrics any where. Is it possible that one of you searchers may have found a source?

I've known this song since I was a child. I would love to record it for my non-commercial website www.about-him.com, if I can obtain the necessary permission to do so.

Hattie Boulware was my aunt.
Jimmy Swaggart made a recording of it, although he didn't have the correct words for all of it.

I knew Hattie Boulware Jones in person. She was a dear friend of mine. You could not find a finer Christian woman, full of love and inspiration. She wrote this song after having a vision of Jesus' second coming. When hearing her sing it, you felt as if you were transcended into Glory. Does anyone know of a recording ever being made? Is one available? If not, someone should certainly make one.

These are lyrics I have transcribed, and I think the song was written by Hattie Jones, and may have been first published in 1941.
I’VE HAD A VISION OF JESUS (1941)
W & M By Hattie B Jones
1. I've had a vision of Jesus, I've caught a glimpse of my Lord,
Down through the clouds He is coming, Just as He said in His word;
See the bright light in the heavens, shining from east to the west,
I've had a vision of Jesus, Filling and thrilling my soul.
2. As on the wings of an eagle, we shall go soaring away,
Over the mountains and valleys, past all the cares of the day;
If we but stay in the vision, just a short time it will be,
The vision will then have vanished, swallowed in reality.
3. First in the ranks of his Army, first in His service I'll stay;
Praising and loving my Savior, time will so swift pass away;
Throughout the ceaseless ages, kings and priests we will be,
Stay with me, o blessed vision, until Jesus shall come back to stay.
(for me.)
