The Greatest Feeling Ever
What am I feeling?
What is this reeling?
Something I can’t control
Something I didn’t know I owned

It haunts me when I see her
It makes me embrace her more dearly
This feeling consumes me
Grabs a hold all to eerily

This voice pushes me to confront my emotions
I don’t want to but it feels so good sometimes
I don’t know what I’m going through
I feel on top of the world, the next thing I know I’m blue
It’s like a stroll through a field of mines

I don’t know what to say to her
But when I do it comes out all wrong
A slap to the face
The mood is quick to replace
I feel reduced
Like this hatred was all induced

I think I know what this feeling is
A feeling brought on by the one I never knew to exist
I had hoped it would never surface
I think they brought it on purpose
This is the greatest feeling ever

No matter how many times my face her hand may grace
I won’t give up on her
No matter how many times I get a negative reply
I won’t stop
No I’ll give it another try
By her side I’ll forever stand
My life now feels so grand

The day when she will finally see
It’ll be me standing there for her totally free
How I could have ever doubted this notion
Would have been a dangerous motion

I feel like we’ve grown up together
Age old friends who have been through every sort of weather
Though I know we grew along side each other
Feeling more like sister and brother

I no longer feel afraid
I’m now stronger, not so frayed
My life is now a new door
No longer rotted in my heart’s core
As far as I am concerned this feeling is a score

With her I now feel I have somewhere to belong
It’s a wonder how I lived so long without her
Held in loneliness with the rest of the throng
Without her nothing would ever occur

Until she can see me
Until I’m lifted from this invisibility
I have to stay with her always
To help her through this frustrating maze

Until I can make her find her way
Making sure she doesn’t go astray
Until she knows how I feel
Constantly I have to keep close on her heel

I’ll make sure she finds me
Help her to know that I’m forever hers
