Once upon a time there was a country mouse
Paid a visit to a relative the city mouse
But she didn’t care a bit for the city house
And her heart was full of pity for the city mouse
I feel the same as she

Worries not

The city mouse must always watch her figure
She better keep it slender if she’s wise
It’s different with the fellas in the country
They like the large economy size

She reads a book, to puzzle it out

She goes into the barn and takes a look

City mouse tries to be brainy kind
Wants to be loved, just for her mind

What fellas want is not up there

Raising one child, so hard to do

Number one looks after number nine

The city mouse out to catch a fella
Is putting on the makeup day and night
The country mouse knows how to catch a fella
When they’re alone she puts out the light

Pack up your bag, tiptoe away
Look around until you find a country spouse
