How Long lyrics
How long, how long
Till I awake in Your likeness
How long, how long
Till I become like You
(x2)
Lord You are calling me to be all Your own
Yet how I struggle to surrender to Your throne
Give me the grace oh God to die that I might live
In You, in You
How long, how long
Till I awake in Your likeness
How long, how long
Till I become like You
Lord You are calling us to be a spotless bride
Raised up in Holy power that cannot be denied
Give us the grace oh God to boldly bear Your name
For You, for You
How long, how long
Till we awake in Your likeness
How long, how long
Till we become like You
How long, how long
Till we awake in Your likeness
How long, how long
Till we become like You
Lord make us one like You
Till we become like You
-----------------
How long, how long
Till we awake in Your likeness
How long, how long
Till we become like You
Lord make us one like You

This is one of the beautiful song ever composed! It is a cry of each one's heart to the flawless God for Him to help us with our imperfections. Yes,it is our deepest desire to be like Him and it is possible that we can be like Him by the help of the Holy Spirit in us. Naturally we can't because we are only human being but we need The Spirit of God to drive away all our self righteousness, mistakes, ungodliness, unbelief and every deeds that will not make God happy!

Its just a blessing. there' s nothing more to add.
it leads us to pour out our heart unto God and in this sincere worship, God dwells in it.

This song came to me just at the right moment, and I know its the work of our Father. Thank you so much for putting into music this prayer and yearning of our hearts. The anointing in this song is truly transforming and it causes one to be so inspired that you cant help but yearn for more of God as you listen to it. You will find yourself falling in love with your Maker all over again as you long to be near Him and there is no other way of interpreting this beautiful song than a longing so deep that you want to be in our Makers presence as you listen and sing along to it. Well done Terry, may you continue to move heaven and earth with songs as powerful as this. From one Worship leader to another.

The anointed song, "How Long" is just that, Anointed! It brings into your spirit a yearning, a cry. We all struggle with everyday sins. Some are habitual but this song brings out the yearning in us as to how long will it take to become more like Jesus. We long to be more like Him. It's also a cry to be with Jesus. We need to have our focus on Him daily and cry out in our spirits to be more like Jesus! I appreciate artists like Terry MacAlmon who allow the Holy Spirit to lead them. I believe the music is more anointed like that.
